Frequently asked questions
Fortnite gift cards can be used to add funds to your Epic account balance so you can buy a wide variety of things, anywhere that uses Epic's payment system. This includes:
- Fortnite V-Bucks, Fortnite Crew, and Packs
- Epic Games Store games, DLCs, and add-ons
- fab.com content (for creators)
Let's say someone gave you a Fortnite gift card with $30 on it. To add this to your Epic account:
- Scan the QR code and follow the link, or go to epicgames.com/redeem. and enter the PIN on the back of the card.
- Log into your Epic account, and redeem!
- The $30 will then be available in your Epic account balance.
Fortnite gift cards will be released to different regions in the months ahead, starting with these regions in June 2025:
- Austria
- Belgium
- France

Fortnite gift cards are currency-specific, so the currency of your card must match the currency of your Epic account balance to redeem the card.
Yes! If what you're purchasing costs more than what you had on your gift card, your account balance can be combined with other payment methods to complete your purchase.Split payment is not supported for subscriptions, including Fortnite Crew.
After adding the gift card to your Epic account balance, you can buy V-Bucks on the Epic Games Store. If you're playing Fortnite on PC, mobile, or cloud gaming, you can also purchase them in-game!
First, make sure your Nintendo account is connected to your Epic account.Nintendo devices don't support the Fortnite Shared Wallet feature, so to spend V-Bucks purchased using your account balance, you will need to go to the web Item Shop or use a Shared Wallet platform (that's connected to your Epic account) including:
- PlayStation
- Xbox
- PC
- Mobile
- Cloud gaming services
Yes! However, V-Bucks cards may still be available in your region or local retailers while we're in the process of rolling out the new Fortnite gift cards. You can continue redeeming purchased V-Bucks cards at fortnite.com/vbuckscard.
Until December 31, 2026, you'll get the GHOST Monks Outfit in Fortnite the first time you redeem a Fortnite gift card to your Epic account!To receive the Outfit, make sure the Epic account you're redeeming the card to is the same Epic account you use to play Fortnite. This GHOST Monks offer is available only in regions where gift cards are sold.Heads-up! You will not receive the GHOST Monks Outfit by using our older V-Bucks card. You must be redeeming the NEW Fortnite gift card. GHOST Monks may be available for purchase in the Fortnite Shop at a later date beyond December 31, 2026.
Yes! When you make a purchase in Fortnite, Rocket League, or Fall Guys using Epic's payment system on PC, iPhone, iPad, Android, or the web — you'll get 20% back in Epic Rewards. These 20% rewards in Epic's games are here to stay.For all other Epic Games Store purchases you make using Epic's payment system, you'll get 20% back through August 31, and our standard 5% afterwards. This includes games from other companies that are distributed through the Epic Games Store.

Yes. Players in Cabined Accounts can add a Fortnite gift card to their Epic account balance, which can only be used to make purchases for Epic's games like Fortnite (excluding Fortnite Crew subscriptions). A parent or guardian will need to finish setting up your account to enable all other purchases like a Fortnite Crew subscription.
